Another quiet day, Rayls and I walked up the main street of Cedar City and then had lunch at Market Grill.
The four of us had dinner at Chili's.
Tomorrow we head west to Las Vegas and then onto Barstow.
We love it here, our home away from home.

Quiet day, just hanging around the house.
For interested people the Walmart truck count is 107. Quilt shops, 2.

Just a quiet day in CC.
Rayls and Amy went to JoAnn's. Then Rayls and I went to Groovacious, a record shop. I have been looking for a specific John Fogerty album which appears to not be available anywhere. I had a talk with the owner of the store who stated he saw John Fogerty in Las Vegas a couple of years ago. OF course we had seen Fogerty in Vegas a few years ago and the owner was very impressed that I had seen Creedence Clearwater Revival in Perth back in 1972.
We then went to a hardware shop just next to Groovacious and I picked up some drill bits at a good price. Then to Ace Hardware where I could have bought a rifle or two but I didn't.
Amy and Steve were kind enough to shout us dinner at Applebees, one of our favourite eating places.
It's always a quiet time in CC, just nice to spend time with good friends.

Today we drove the 50K's up to Cedar Breaks National Monument, its at 9900 feet, higher than any point in Australia. We had not been here since 2001, all our other trips to Cedar City have been at a time when the park has been closed for the season.
Beautiful outlook, Cedar Breaks looks down into a half-mile deep geologic amphitheater. A bit nippy and windy and a very pleasant time. We even got to throw some snow balls.
Late lunch at Jimmie Johns, then a Home Depot and Walmart before going back to the house.

Today we drove the 280 kilometres from Las Vegas to Cedar City in Utah. Pleasant enough drive, minimum of 2 lanes and 75mph. 80mph is Utah.
Because I could, we left the hotel in Las Vegas with the top down on the Mustang and then drove down the Strip convertible style. Once we got off the strip the roof came back up and away we went. Drive through Mesquite before leaving Nevada and entering Arizona for about 40K's. Amazing drive through the Virgin River Gorge, incredible scenery. At the top we enter Utah at St George where we stopped for lunch and a Quilt Shop, Fab Fabrics. Then the last 80K's to Cedar City where we met up with our friends Amy and Steve, we will be here till Tuesday.
First thing first, I lost a tooth filling and so needed to go to a dentist, Amy had made and appointment for me. No fun and a lot of money.
Afterwards we relaxed at home and watched some TV.
