Las Vegas
Day Forty - Thursday 4th May, 2006
Today we left Cedar City and headed along the I15 through St George, into Arizona for about 20 minutes and then into Nevada. It is about a two and half hour drive to Las Vegas where we had booked a hotel at the Sahara. Nice enough hotel, just a bit far down one end of the Strip to walk the entire length (and back).
We wandered down the strip a bit and ended up at a 50% off booking place where we got good prices for a Platters/Drifters/Coasters concert which was at our hotel. Good choice by Rayls. After dinner we went to the show and it was very good.
Not being in to gambling Las Vegas is not the greatest place for us but we always enjoy the sights and people watching.

Day Forty One - Friday 5th May, 2006
This morning we went to Fremont Street - no light show but OK to see. We
drove down the strip, checked out of our hotel and then spent a couple of hours
at an outleft mall 2 miles from the south end of the strip.
We left Vegas around 3:30pm and arrived in Barstow at 5:30pm. Spent quite a while at the Walmart - bought 5 or 6 DVD's. We are going to try and create a collection similar to that of Amy and Steve.
In was in Barstow 40 days ago that we started out on the I40, we have travelled a lot of miles since then and seen some awesome things and met some great people.
We are in the same hotel as 6 weeks ago but different room. Had dinner at Dennys - same as 6 weeks ago.
Tomorrow we head for LA.
