More flights booked
We have booked some internal flights from Los Angeles to Seattle and back. This is so we can do a road trip across the top of the USA to Glacier National Park and back. Should be a nice scenic drive. I also hope to meet up with an author friend just south of Seattle. I have been reading his books for some years and we have communicated on Facebook, and it will be nice to meet him.
All go
A pet sitter has been found and so we seem to be confirmed for departure on 13 May. We are mulling over a quick trip to Alaska but at this stage intend to drive from Seattle to Glacier National Park and then down through Utah on our way back to LA
USA 2024
Coming up to our trip to the USA departing on 13 May 2024. We do have a problem though. Can't find anyone to look after Ollie, our 8 year old Jack Russell. We have had a few nibbles on Findahome but nobody booked yet. He's not going to a kennel so if nobody pops up in the next week or so the trip is off.
Plans
Nice to be home but already planning a trip in 2024, to the USA - I wanted it to be June for my 70th but I don't want to be in the northern hemisphere for summer so maybe October!
Birmingham
We have come from the north between Liverpool and Manchester. Made a detour into Wales to go to Wrexham and have now arrived in Birmingham for the first day of the First Ashes cricket test on Friday.
Heading South
We have left Perth and made it to just north of the Scotland/England border. We stopped at Lockerbie and visited a memorial. The plan is for two days in the Lakes Districts before heading for Birmingham on Thursday. Both still unwell.
Perth
So here we are in Perth, Scotland. It's raining! We had hoped to push on today but after two busy days in Edinburgh and an overnight of coughing we have decided to spend a day here and start heading south on Monday 12th.
